We needed to develop a mobile app for executives to track their progress on coaching goals, a web app for collecting feedback from raters, and a backend system to power both. The solution had to join the platforms together to provide real-time feedback, progress tracking, and personalized reminders to support positive behavioral change. Ensuring data security and privacy was also essential due to the sensitive nature of the information.

Technologies

Ionic

Provided a flexible, cross-platform environment, allowing us to deliver a consistent mobile experience on both iOS and Android. Ionic's component library also accelerated development, enabling us to meet the client's timeline effectively.

Angular

As the front-end framework, Angular enabled us to create a responsive and dynamic interface for both the mobile and web applications. Its modular architecture made the UI components easily reusable, which cut the work of building for both platforms.

Django

For backend development, Django offered scalable infrastructure to handle data management, feedback processing, and secure authentication. Its built-in security features helped us protect sensitive user data, meeting the high privacy standards required.

Result

We implemented every required function for the WJM Development Tracker against the client's specification. Our team built the backend with Django to handle data, secure authentication, and the full range of app features, giving both the mobile and web apps one stable foundation. The cross-platform mobile app let executives track their progress, while the web app let raters submit feedback easily. Despite the strict timeline, we delivered the project on time.
